Fee Refund Information

For comprehensive information about refund policies, please check with the Office of the Bursar by visiting their website at http://www.udayton.edu/~bursar

If you withdraw your registration before the first day of classes, a full refund will be made (with the exception of the enrollment deposit). Withdrawal should be in writing on a drop form which can be obtained in the registration office or by letter to the appropriate dean as notification of the withdrawal of classes. Students who do not attend classes and do not officially withdraw during the cancellation period will be responsible for the full amount of the applicable tuition and fees. During the four-week cancellation period for the first and second terms, the tuition and housing refunds will be made according to the following schedule:

Tuition & Housing (Fall & Spring Terms)
80% during the first week of the semester
60% during the second week of the semester
40% during the third week of the semester
25% during the fourth week of the semester
no refund during the fifth week of the semester or later

During the two-week cancellation period for each session of the split third term, the tuition and housing refunds will be made according to the following schedule:

Tuition & Housing (Summer)
65% during the first week of the classes
30% during the second week of the classes
no refund during the third week of the semester or later

Financial adjustments for tuition are based on the date the drop (withdrawal) form is finalized in registration.

Financial adjustments for housing are based on the date of the check out from housing, if applicable.

The university fee is non-refundable beginning with the first day of a semester. Special course fees and laboratory fees are fully refundable through Friday of the First full week of the fall and spring semester and through the third day of a summer semester. After that time, special fees are completely non-refundable while lab fees will be refunded at the same percentages listed above for tuition and housing fees.

If you are eligible for a refund of charges under the policy outlined above and you received any university-administered assistance, your assistance will be adjusted to reflect your reduced cost. The Office of Financial Aid will notify you of any changes to your awards.

All tuition refund requests and appeals must be in writing and directed to the attention of David J. Necessary, Bursar. If you have any questions about your Statement of Account, please contact the Bursar’s Office by calling 1-800-259-7117 or (937) 229-4111.
