Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling
The federal regulations governing financial aid require
that all first-time Stafford Loan borrowers complete an Entrance Counseling
session. The purpose of this requirement is to provide you with
information about the Federal Stafford Loan program before you commit to
borrowing. At the University of Dayton, students who decide to borrow
through the Federal Stafford Loan program can complete the Entrance Counseling session online.
The University of Dayton can not release Stafford Loan
funds into a student account until confirmation of completion has been
received. The entire session will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. At the conclusion of the session, you will be presented with
confirmation that you have completed the Entrance
Counseling requirement. Please print this page for your records. An electronic message will be sent directly to the Office of Financial Aid indicating that you have completed this requirement. Please allow 24-48 hours for us to process the confirmation.
