The student's academic standing is determined by the cumulative grade-point average at the end of each term.
At end of first and second terms, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of 1.70 or above.
At end of third term, a student must have a cumulative grade-point average of 1.80 or above.
At end of fourth term, a student must have a cumulative grade-point average of 1.90 or above.
At end of fifth term, and each of the succeeding terms, a student must have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 or above.
